Meet Your Veterinary Care Team

Established in 2024, we are a family owned veterinary clinic with deep community ties. In addition to the clinic, we also own and operate Scenic View Farm, an equine boarding facility in Hartville, since 2017.

Our veterinarian, Dr. Ashley Misner, has been in the veterinary field since 2007 starting as a veterinary assistant. She graduated from Lake High School as valedictorian in 2006, obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Akron, and graduated in 2014 from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine with her DVM degree. She has practiced in multiple areas of veterinary medicine, including mixed animal medicine, shelter medicine, and companion animal medicine.

Dr. Misner most recently worked in Canton, Ohio before deciding to open her own privately owned veterinary clinic. She is looking forward to providing every owner and pet with a personalized, caring experience. She enjoys providing pet owners with multiple care options and providing clear, concise client education. Her interests include general medicine and surgery.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband & daughter, attending local car shows, and riding her Paso Fino horses. The family farm is home to many horses as well as a few goats, barn cats, and a dog!

Dr. Mike Slawienski is a native of Buffalo, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Cornell University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 1992.

He completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at West Los Angeles Animal Hospital and trained as a resident in veterinary surgery at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1999. Dr. Slawienski practiced at Associated Veterinary Specialists in St. Louis before moving to Ohio with his family in 2004.

He has provided soft tissue, neurologic, and orthopedic specialty surgeries for patients of veterinary hospitals in Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas since that time. Dr. Slawienski travels to our clinic to provide specialty surgery services for your pet so your pet can receive care at our clinic where he or she is most comfortable.
